Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Flamingos Live is operated by JH & WR Entertainment Pty Ltd (ABN 47 664 461 698) at 31 Morehead St, Lambton NSW 2299 (“Flamingos Live”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it.

It applies when you visit flamingos.live, buy tickets through our box office, book by phone or email, follow us on social media, sign up for our emails, or visit the venue. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. What we collect

Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:

• Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and postcode.
• Booking details: the shows you book, ticket and seat types, dining packages, order history and any booking notes.
• Checkout answers: how you heard about us, your marketing preference, and any dietary or accessibility requirements you choose to tell us.
• Payment information: card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
• Website and device information: pages visited, links clicked, purchases, browser and device type, approximate location and IP address, collected through cookies and similar tools (see below).
• Messages: anything you send us by email, phone, social media or Messenger.
• Images: CCTV footage, and photos or video taken at shows.

Dietary and accessibility requirements may be health information. We only collect them if you choose to give them to us, and only use them to look after you at the venue. You can use a first name or pseudonym when you contact us with a general enquiry, but we need your real name and contact details to issue tickets.

2. How we collect it

We collect most information directly from you: when you buy tickets, book by phone or email, sign up for our emails, enter a competition, contact us, or give your details to our staff at the venue.

We also collect information automatically when you use our website or interact with our ads, and through CCTV at the venue. If someone else books for you, they may give us your name. Occasionally we receive information from partners, such as an artist’s promoter or a group booking organiser.

3. Why we use it

We use your personal information to:

• issue tickets, take payment, and send confirmations, reminders and show updates
• contact you about changes, cancellations or refunds for shows you have booked
• prepare for your visit, including seating, dining and any dietary or accessibility needs you tell us about
• answer your questions and handle complaints
• send you news and offers, if you have agreed to receive them
• understand how people find and use our website, and measure and improve our advertising
• keep our venue, staff and guests safe, and meet our legal obligations, including liquor licensing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not make decisions about you using automated systems that significantly affect your rights or interests.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with people who help us run the venue and your booking, and only as much as they need:

• Ticket Tailor: our ticketing and box office platform (orders, tickets, checkout answers)
• Stripe: processing card payments
• Lightspeed: our point-of-sale system at the venue, including customer records for bookings and purchases
• Mailchimp: sending our emails, if you have signed up
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram): advertising, measuring ad results, and messages you send us there
• Google: website analytics and advertising measurement
• Seeka: securely passing website and purchase events to Meta and Google for ad measurement
• Humanitix: bookings made before we moved to Ticket Tailor
• Our website, email and IT providers: hosting and maintaining our website, email and systems
• Artists and promoters: limited booking details where needed to deliver a show, such as a guest list or group booking

We may also disclose information where the law requires or allows it, for example to police or regulators, or to protect someone’s safety.

Overseas: some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union. We choose reputable providers with their own privacy and security obligations.

5. Cookies, pixels and analytics

Our website and box office use cookies and similar tools. Some are needed for the site and checkout to work. Others help us understand how people use the site and measure our advertising, including:

• Google Analytics, which tells us which pages are visited and how people find us
• the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, which tell us when someone who saw our ads visits the site or buys tickets, so we can measure results and show relevant ads

These tools may collect your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you view. Where information is sent to Meta for ad measurement, identifiers such as your email address are scrambled (hashed) first.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad preferences in your Facebook and Google accounts. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site or checkout work.

6. Marketing emails

We only send marketing emails if you have agreed, for example by ticking the box at checkout or signing up on our website. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can ask us to remove you at any time.

If you unsubscribe, we will still send messages about tickets you have bought, such as confirmations, reminders and changes to a show.

7. CCTV and photography

We use CCTV at the venue for safety and security. Footage is kept for 30 days and then overwritten, unless we need it for an incident, a legal matter, or a request from police or regulators.

We sometimes take photos and video at shows for our website and social media. If you would prefer not to appear, let a staff member know on the night, or contact us afterwards and we will remove an image of you where we reasonably can.

8. Keeping it safe

We store personal information in secure, password-protected systems, limit access to staff who need it, and use providers with their own security controls. We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or to meet legal requirements, such as tax records, and then delete or de-identify it. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and take steps to limit it.

9. Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, and in limited cases the law allows us to refuse access; if so, we will explain why.

10. Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first. Tell us what happened and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
