Brothers DownUnder is an Allman Brothers Band experience that recreates the true, authentic sound of the Allman Brothers songbook. It’s an absolute treat and joy to watch Brothers DownUnder perform live and bring out the epic, live improvised jams and the musical journey that unfolds in the moment between the musicians on stage, with their energy carried straight to the audience. Experience the classic sound that goes way back to the 70’s live Fillmore East concerts, recreating the unmistakable twin-guitar sound of Duane Allman and Dickey Betts, and the roaring Hammond organ of Gregg Allman, brought to life through the soulful ABB songbook.
This experience features leading blues-rock royalty from the Australian music scene, fronted by one of the country’s finest, Geoff Achison on vocals and guitars, jam-band guitar sensation Ben Chakravorty on slide and guitar, John Tweed Williams on keys and Hammond organ, and Dario Moconja on bass — performing some of the band’s classics including Whipping Post, In Memory of Elizabeth Reed, Jessica, Blue Sky and Statesboro Blues!
The band also features the country’s renowned jazz-blues drummers Rosscoe Clark and Greg Ohlback on drums, David Armstrong on Latin percussion, and Eric Betts on blues harp and harmonica.
