Luka Bloom – The Second Wind Tour 2027

Irish singer-songwriter Luka Bloom returns for his 16th tour of Australia, and he’s bringing it to Flamingos Live for one night only.

His 2024 tour, 28 concerts long, was one of his favourites. What audiences didn’t know was that weeks before it began he’d been diagnosed with a serious heart condition. He sang his way around the country, then went home to open-heart surgery that November, and it was months before he could sing again.

Before the operation he wrote and recorded 15 songs and instrumentals to celebrate the surgeons, doctors and nurses before they did their job. They became A Second Wind, his 25th album, released on his 70th birthday in May 2025, and later performed for the staff of Dublin’s Mater hospital who cared for him.

Now he’s back with The Second Wind Tour, named for exactly what he’s been given. In his words: “What matters is the return to this country I have loved so much since the Enmore in Sydney in 1992.”
